The first is “BEAT THE PRO” and the second is “DESIGNATED DRIVER.” BEAT THE PRO FORMAT Each player will compete individually against the Pro- Roger Teel Prizes will be awarded for players whose net score is better than the Pro’s NET score. No Prizes for tied scores. Play out every hole. No giving of putts. All balls are played as they lie. DESIGNATED DRIVER FORMAT A four (4) man team made up of players from each FLIGHT (A,B,C,D). April handicaps will be used for scoring. On the first hole the first name on the card is the “DESIGNATED DRIVER.” For this hole, the DESIGNATED DRIVER’S net score and the best net score of the remaining team members is counted as the Team’s score for that hole. On the second hole the second name on the card is the “DESIGNATED DRIVER.” His net score and the best net score from the remaining players will be counted as the Team’s score for the second hole. The third hole and fourth hole follow the same format. On the fifth hole the ‘DESIGNATED DRIVER” will again be the first name on the card. This procedure is repeated for all 18 holes. Individual scores are posted, but not as T scores. TOURNAMENT PROCEDURE: Check in at the tournament desk for you score cards 20 minutes before your scheduled starting time. All score cards must be dated, signed and attested. Players sign up individually and the Tournament Chairman will assign teams. ELIGIBILITY and SIGN-UP: You must be a member of the men’s 18 hole golf club and have a current SCGA handicap and pay the entry fee. Sign up at the March Men’s Club Meeting. STANDBY AND CANCELLATION LISTS: Cancellation and standby lists will be available at the Major Tournament Bulletin Board outside the Pro Shop.
